Color Pop Geometric Handwoven Earrings

These stunning earrings were inspired by an original log cabin quilt design. They are made with hand strung Japanese glass Miyuki beads hung from a brass half-moon shaped finding. They combine striking colors set against a black background. They have great movement while still being lightweight. The earring is hung from 14K gold plated earring hooks. These earrings are made by women artisans in Medellin, Colombia who receive fair working conditions and compensation for their skills.

Mayana Designs is committed to offering bead weaving training and employment primarily to single mothers and members of the displaced indigenous community in Medellin, Colombia, where the jewelry is produced in small-batches. As Mayana Designs grows, the hope is that it can expand its ability to provide much-needed income to vulnerable women.
